Parent Commissioning
Parent commissioning at Grace is here to give families the opportunity to publicly commit to raising their child in a way that glorifies Christ. Every Parent Commissioning celebration has a parent meeting prior to the celebration to review the importance of parent commissioning, and provide instructions for the day of the celebration.
Philosophy
The Grace Kids philosophy operates with the conviction that what happens at home is more important than what happens at church. God's design is for parents to be the primary influencers in a child's life. As a church, we will do everything in our power to help kids and students be spiritually formed, and ultimately, to help parents win at home.
Purpose
Grace Kids teaches children ages Nursery - 4th Grade the foundational Biblical truth and knowledge in order to establish salvation and an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ. Our goal is to provide each child with a fun and safe atmosphere where their relationships with Jesus, our volunteers, and other children can thrive. By using a small group/large group model, we are able to achieve tight-knit relationships amongst small groups, and an engaging element in large group where all come together for collective worship and learning.
Safety
Safety is of utmost importance at Grace. To stay accountable, background checks are administered to every volunteer. All parents, guardians, and volunteers must create an account before entering Grace Kids. A check in volunteer will be present at all times to assist any newcomers with the check in process. When parents arrive for pick up, they must present the Guardian Tag that was printed when they checked in their child. The Guardian Tag must match their child's tag in order for them to be released.
