Brewster Director of Worship

Reports to: Brewster Campus Pastor

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Worship: Lead weekly gatherings with excellence and authenticity, playing a core instrument (e.g., acoustic guitar or keyboard).
  • Worship Planning & Execution: Collaborate with Brewster Campus Pastor and Pastor of Worship (Berlin) to plan and program worship experiences that blend new and familiar music.
  • Team Development: Recruit, develop, and mentor worship and production team members; build a culture of spiritual growth, skill development, and community.
  • Student & Kids Ministry Support: Partner with Jr. High and Kids ministry leaders to create meaningful worship environments for next-generation ministries.
  • Volunteer Empowerment: Lead and equip volunteers for stage design, video, and creative elements that enhance the worship experience.
  • Resource Management: Contribute to budget planning and oversee audio/video resources specific to Brewster and Fairless campus needs.
  • Campus Collaboration: Participate in weekly staff meetings and collaborate on campus-wide initiatives and weekend logistics (set-up, staging, etc.).

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Proven excellence as a worship leader and developer of worship arts teams
  • Strong lead vocals and proficiency in at least one instrument (guitar/keys preferred)
  • Knowledge of music theory and ability to direct both vocal and instrumental teams
  • Familiarity with modern worship technology: tracks, in-ear monitors, lighting, projection, etc.
  • Spiritually mature, relationally driven, and deeply committed to team ministry
  • A coachable, collaborative, and mission-driven attitude that supports overall church goals
  • Committed follower of Jesus, actively growing in faith, and exemplifying godly character
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred (or equivalent experience in worship arts leadership)
  • Must be an active partner of Grace Church or willing to become one (small group involvement, financial support, etc.)
